We are committed to implementing the principles of ecologically sustainable development (ESD), which are enshrined within the objectives of the Fish Resources Management Act 1994, the major piece of legislation governing fishing in WA.
ESD Report series (ISSN 1448-3599) covers a comprehensive overview of the information related to specifc Western Australian fisheries. A major element of which is the explicit determination of the operational objectives, performance measures and indicators that will be used to assess performance of the fishery.
