Caroline Bate

Ms Caroline Bate completed her Bachelor of Education in 2014, when she was already a qualified teacher's assistant.

Using precision equipment, she currently processes otoliths for researchers to analyse chronological information. This provides the age, growth and mortality of fish, which are necessary for accurate fish stock modelling and analysis.

She also carries out scribing for researchers to obtain a fish species’ length, sex and maturity.
