In 2007-2008, Mr Brett Crisafulli completed a BSc (Hons) degree at Murdoch University, with a thesis on the biology of two fish species of mullet (Mugilidae) in five estuaries on the south coast of Western Australia.
Since 2008 he has been a Technical Officer at Fisheries, working on the monitoring and assessment of the West Coast Demersal Scalefish Resource. He became a Senior Technical Officer in 2012.
Mr Crisafulli has expertise in the biology of fishes, including reproduction, growth, ageing, movement, resource partitioning, stock structure, ecology, and stock status monitoring and assessment.
He has experience in statistical programming, database management, GIS, mobile computing and contemporary field sampling techniques including netting, underwater visual census, baited video and acoustic tagging.
He also has experience in univariate and multivariate analyses, presentation of scientific data and liaison with stakeholders, and scientific report writing and publication.
