Marmion Marine Park

Marmion Marine Park is offshore from Perth's northern suburbs between Trigg Island and Burns Beach. The marine park includes Mettams Pool, Hillarys Boat Harbour and Ocean Reef Boat Harbour.

Marmion Marine Park consists of three zone types: 'no-take' sanctuary zones, Watermans Reef Observation Area and a general use zone.

Recreational fishing can be enjoyed in most areas of the marine park but special rules apply in some zones. Ensure you know your zones before you go fishing by exploring the interactive map below. Click on the different zones to find out where you can and can’t fish.

Remember that Statewide recreational fishing rules (such as species, bag and size limits, seasonal closures, gear restrictions and licence requirements) also apply to fishing in Marmion Marine Park.

The key species likely to be found in the waters of Marmion Marine Park include western rock lobster, abalone, dhufish, pink snapper, tailor, whiting, mulloway and Australian herring.
