Recreational fishing in North Lalang-garram Marine Park

The newly created North Lalang-garram Marine Park is located north of Broome and lies between the Lalang-garram/Camden Sound Marine Park and the North Kimberley Marine Park, covering approximately 110,000 hectares.

The North Lalang-garram Marine Park is zoned entirely general use meaning recreational fishing will be permitted to continue throughout the marine park in accordance with Statewide recreational fishing rules.

The joint management plan for the Lalang-garram/Horizontal Falls and North Lalang-garram Marine Parks has been finalised and includes detailed information on the zones and permitted fishing activities.

You can become familiar with the marine park by exploring the interactive map below.

The key species likely to be found in the waters of the North Lalang-garram Marine Park include Spanish mackerel, trevally, queenfish, fingermark and black jewfish.
