Dr Fran Stephens

​Dr Fran Stephens has a long-standing passion for pathology and health management and an interest in aquaculture. This culminated in the completion of a PhD investigating health problems in the West Australian dhufish in 2001.

Since then she has been involved with the diagnosis and management of health problems in a range of species including finfish, crustacea and molluscs.

Dr Stephens has experience in the aquaculture industry, investigating the cause of fish kills in the environment, and in research and formulating policies designed to minimise the risk of introducing new diseases into the aquatic environment of Western Australia.
